It is a pleasure to inform you that the new version of the Lucene library has been released. It is the next release from the 8.x branch and it is numbered 8.9.0.
Some of the changes included in the Lucene 8.9.0:
- Pure Maven build was removed, because of migration to Gradle for Lucene and Solr 9.0
- Speed up merging of stored fields and term vectors for small segments
- Added smooth scoring and default implementation to Scorable abstract class.
- PatternTypingFilter was added allowing to set attributes to tokens based on regular expressions.
- Token filter for dropping tokens matching specified flags.
