It is another release from the 6.x branch and it is numbered <strong>6.4<\/strong>. Release fixes a few bugs found in the earlier version of Lucene and Solr and brings new functionalities as well.<\/p>\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<p>Example changes in the Lucene library:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New similarity called <em>BooleanSimilarity<\/em> have been introduced that gives terms a score equal to their query boost<\/li>\n<li>New token filter called <em>SynonymGraphFilter<\/em> have been introduced for multi-token query time synonyms and token streams produced by that filter is correctly handled by queries<\/li>\n<li>Index sorting is supported on multi-valued fields<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Example changes in Solr search engine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to prioritize streaming expressions<\/li>\n<li>Command line tool to manage snapshot functionality<\/li>\n<li>Key store for SSL can be specified in <em>solr.in.sh<\/em> file<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use the new Unified Highlighter by using <em>hl.method=unified<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Reworked metrics and introduction of Metrics API<\/li>\n<li>Introduction of <em>maxRamMB<\/em> to control memory consumed by <em>FastLRUCache<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Introduction of <em>SkipExistingDocumentProcessor<\/em> for skipping update and indexing of existing documents<\/li>\n<li>New configuration flag <em>enable<\/em>, which allows enabling and disabling of any cache type<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Full list of changes can be found at the following URL:&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.apache.org\/lucene-java\/ReleaseNote64\">https:\/\/wiki.apache.org\/lucene-java\/ReleaseNote64<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lucene.apache.org\/solr\/6_4_0\/changes\/Changes.html\">https:\/\/lucene.apache.org\/solr\/6_4_0\/changes\/Changes.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apache Lucene library <strong>6.4<\/strong> can be downloaded from: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/<\/a>.
