In the newest version there are a few functionalities worth looking at, especially when we talk about Solr.<\/p>\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<p>Changes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Lucene\n<ul>\n<li>The <em>spellchecker<\/em> module now includes autocomplete functionality with three implementations<\/li>\n<li>Support for merging results from multiple shards<\/li>\n<li>An optimized implementation of <em>KStem<\/em> library &#8211; stemmer for English<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to <em>MMapDirectory<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>NRTManager<\/em> which simplifies handling <em>near real time<\/em> search with multiple search threads<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Solr\n<ul>\n<li>Field collapsing functionality which allows results grouping<\/li>\n<li><em>KStemFilterFactory<\/em> &#8211; filter factory which allows using optimized version of <em>KStem<\/em> library<\/li>\n<li>The default merge policy used by Solr is now <em>TieredMergePolicy<\/em><\/li>\n<li>A new, automaton-based, autocomplete implementation<\/li>\n<li>Improvements from Apache Lucene 3.3<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The full list of changes in <strong>Lucene 3.3<\/strong> can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/svn.apache.org\/repos\/asf\/lucene\/dev\/tags\/lucene_solr_3_2\/lucene\/CHANGES.txt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. <strong>Solr 3.3<\/strong> change list can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/svn.apache.org\/repos\/asf\/lucene\/dev\/tags\/lucene_solr_3_2\/solr\/CHANGES.txt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The newest version of<strong> Lucene<\/strong> <strong><\/strong>library can be found at the following address: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/<\/a>.
