You should not expect revolution in terms of new functionalities, but there are few changes worth the look.<\/p>\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<p>Changes:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Lucene\n<ul>\n<li>A new grouping module (available under <em>lucene<\/em>\/contrib\/grouping)<\/li>\n<li>A IndexUpgrader tool that let&#8217;s you upgrade your index to the new format<\/li>\n<li>NRTCachingDirectory implementation which caches small segments in RAM<\/li>\n<li>A new Collector implementation, CachingCollector, which helps developing functionalities which requires more than one pass<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Solr\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to specify <em>overwrite<\/em> and <em>commitWithin <\/em>as request parameters when using the JSON update format<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to UIMA integration and Carrot2 library integration<\/li>\n<li>Performance improvements of highlighting functionality<\/li>\n<li>Jar file containing test-framework<\/li>\n<li>Improvements from Apache Lucene 3.2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The full list of changes in <strong>Lucene 3.2<\/strong> can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/svn.apache.org\/repos\/asf\/lucene\/dev\/tags\/lucene_solr_3_2\/lucene\/CHANGES.txt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. <strong>Solr 3.2<\/strong> change list can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/svn.apache.org\/repos\/asf\/lucene\/dev\/tags\/lucene_solr_3_2\/solr\/CHANGES.txt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The newest version of<strong> Lucene<\/strong> <strong><\/strong>library can be found at the following address: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.apache.org\/dyn\/closer.cgi\/lucene\/java\/<\/a>.
